What Should Be Done in Suspected Brain Hemorrhage?
Warning signs at home or work suggesting possible brain hemorrhage — urgent evaluation is needed if any are present:
- Sudden, extremely severe headache (“the worst of my life”)
- Confusion, fainting, or a new seizure
- One-sided weakness, speech disturbance, facial drooping
- Repeated vomiting, increasing drowsiness
- Worsening headache or behavior change after trauma
Practical information when going to the emergency department:
• Report your medications (especially anticoagulants).
• State the time of any recent fall or head impact.
• Bring prior CT/MRI reports if available.
